Kit Hill Castle Boarding Kennels and Cattery was established in 1995, with the current owners, Dawn and Russell, being in charge since 2004. Russell was born in Helston Cornwall , so it felt like coming home.
As a Family we have been in and around animals all of our lives and they have been a major factor. Dawn spent a long time working in a local cattery in Buckinghamshire before our purchase of Kit Hill Castle.
Russell has been heavily into working dogs training and running in competition even winning places . He is a natural when training and easily brings out the best in a dog. He is a member of The Cornwall Field Trials Society.
As a family we are established Spaniel dog breeder and have been certified by The Kennel Club with an exclusive kennel name of Kitcastle .
As we are fully licenced by animal welfare we work extremely closely with animal welfare even winning the contract for animal strays from Plymouth council for many years. They are now using a kennel closer to Plymouth to save costs, but we still have a great relationship with them..
Are aim is to become the best Family run kennel and cattery in the Tamar Area.

Day Care Boarding Facilities
For those of you coming to Cornwall on holiday, we provide a day care facility for dogs and cats. Our one day care service enables you to visit Plymouth or Cornwall’s other famous attractions that do not welcome pets, such as the Eden Project or St. Mellion golf course.
Exercise & Play
We have 18 acres at Kit Hill Castle Boarding Kennels and Cattery in Callington, including many large secure paddock areas for the dogs to free roam or to play fetch with balls and toys. All the dogs get walked and the opportunity to play in the areas three times a day.
Kit Hill Boarding Kennels are lucky enough to be fully licensed by the local council, allowing for 65 dogs and 16 cats, and we have a variety of kennels catering for single dogs and cats or families of four with a choice of blocks to suit different personalities.
